Happy New Year and the Fund reaches £23,125 !!
Happy New Year from all the team at the Jet Harris Memorial Fund!
We are delighted to be able to start the new year with the good news that we have just sent a further cheque for £3000 to Cancer Research UK. This brings the total donated so far to £23,125. Thank you so much to all who have helped us to raise this fantastic amount!! Everything we donate is 'restricted', which means that the money can only be used for research into cancer of unknown primary and is given in memory of Jet.
We were very sad to hear towards the end of last year that one of our loyal supporters, Bob Withrington, had passed away. Bob’s wife, Charlotte contacted us to say that she was certain that Bob would have wanted all donations in his memory to be given to the Jet Harris Memorial Fund. An amazing £2113.00 was donated - a wonderful tribute to Bob! We would like to say a very sincere thank you to Charlotte and to all those who contributed to this fantastic amount. Bob was an inspiration to many people within the Shadows community and music world. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
Thank you to the Bourne End Guitar Club!
We should like to say a big thank you to the members of the Bourne End Guitar Club for their very kind donation of £189.45. Thanks everyone!

Following the success of the ‘A Fistful Of Strings (And A Bit Of Chat)’ CD project earlier this year (see below)... we’re delighted to learn that Trev Faull has now released a second CD. As with the first project, the recordings were originally only available on cassette and were sold mainly through the Fan Club. Now, for the first time, ‘A Fistful Of Strings II’ is available for a limited time on CD with the addition of Bonus Tracks featuring Jet with Midnight Shadows and recorded at The Arnos Manor Hotel, Bristol on 3 July 2004 at Jet’s 65th Birthday Party.
This is another gem and a ‘must’ for collectors! Once again Trev has pledged to donate part of the proceeds of sales to the Jet Harris Memorial Fund - so please support this great project by buying a CD!

Jet Harris Memorial Fund in the news...
An article about Jet and the Memorial Fund was published in the Southern Daily Echo on 17 March 2014 together with Barry Gillam’s historic photograph of Jet at Ferneham Hall, Fareham in February 2011. The photo shows Jet on stage with fellow bass players Brian (Licorice) Locking and Alan Jones. This was the first time that all three former Shadows bass players had performed together on stage. Sadly this was to be Jet’s last performance. Click here to read the full article:

For many years Dave Holbrook successfully ran the Jet Harris Fan Club, which was much appreciated by Jet and by fans alike.
